There’s a common misconception amongst those who dabble with the Law of Attraction and that is that it is all about daydreaming. They’ve read that you have to visualise what you want and come to the conclusion that it’s how you use the Law.

Sure, visualising is an important and essential tool. It can help you fully determine exactly what you want and to get into the place of already having it. But just closing your eyes and imagining those things is not, in itself, enough.

In order to fully harness and utilise the Law of Attraction, you have to do more than just visualise and these are the key reasons why.

It’s a lifestyle //

As I’ve said before, the Law of Attraction is for life and not just for times of crisis and using it will require some key lifestyle shifts.

It’s all well and good being able to picture exactly what you want, but in order to really achieve your manifestation goals, it’s going to take a lot more effort.

In attempting to manifest anything using the Law, you’re going to have to get yourself onto the same vibration as you’d be on had you actually already manifested it. This is something that visualisation can help with. However, it’s not going to be enough in itself.

So, sure, go ahead and imagine what having your goal will feel like because that’s absolutely a move in the right direction but be sure to back it up with extra activities.

Ok, so what exactly is a Law of Attraction lifestyle?

Gratitude, self-love, kindness, inspired action, sleep, eat and repeat!

It can help with your mental health //

I am not in any way saying that the Law of Attraction will miraculously solve any mental health issues, nor am I advocating that you should stop any treatments that are already working for you because that’s not healthy and not in your best interests.

However, for me personally, knowing and trusting in Law has sincerely helped me to better manage my anxious mind.

It’s hard for me to pinpoint exactly when or how it started to help because I am not entirely sure, but I do know that it is working for me.

I guess it just makes everything feel a little bit more manageable and it’s enabled me to better challenge my anxious thoughts.

These days, if I face any kind of mental health challenge, I just pause, check the thought and remind myself that like attracts like. It helps me to feel in control of my mind and not the other way around.

I’ve also come to see my thoughts and emotions are an internal GPS system. The more anxious and depressed that I feel, the further that I am from alignment, the better, more focussed and calmer that I feel, the more aligned I know I am.

It’s about how you feel //

The biggest misconception about the Law, is that if you think something enough then it has to be yours. Actually, your thoughts only matter because they affect how you feel about something and it’s not the thought itself that moves the universe, The universe uses your feelings to magnetise you, so it’s your feelings that attract like and not exactly what you are thinking about.

It’s for that reason that gratitude is so important because it’s only by feeling grateful that you will receive more to be grateful for. Whilst some emotions will be unique to certain manifestation goals, grateful is universal.

Visualization is a crucial and important tool but it only works if you are able to fully embody the feelings that the vision should contain.

Yes, go ahead and visualise yourself having what you want but make sure that you really focus in on the feeling.

In the universe, there is no definition of worth and so, in essence, all manifestations are equal. The universe equates £1.00 as being the same as £100 and it’s only your feelings towards the goal that affect the manifestation process. Remember this when you next work on your manifestations.

Tip – once you’ve asked the universe for what you want, go ahead and do something that will help you to build the feelings that are connected with the vision. Only you will really know what activity will work for what emotion, so sit down and consider this first.
